Flow dryer

The fluidized dryer is a kind of drying equipment which uses fixed porous grate bed to fluidize the material on the bed surface and conduct heat exchange directly. There are two types of fluidized dryer, single bed dryer and double bed dryer. The normal operation of the fluidized dryer has the characteristics of high thermal efficiency and large output. However, due to many factors affecting the fluidization of materials, it is often unable to keep the materials on the grate bed in the state of heat exchange The fluidization state and flow rate affect the normal operation of drying. When the variety, moisture and particle size of drying materials change greatly, this kind of drying equipment is not suitable.

1. Raw data

The original data mainly refers to the production capacity of the dryer. According to the initial moisture content and final moisture content of the material, the material balance of the dryer should be carried out, and the production capacity should be determined according to the drying product and evaporation water volume.

2. Temperature condition

According to the material properties, the temperature can be appropriately higher when drying the surface moisture contained in non thermal sensitive materials, such as 700-900 degrees. The selection of exhaust temperature is described in the above section. In other cases, the drying temperature of each material should be determined by experiment. After the temperature condition is selected, the gas consumption is determined according to the heat balance equation.

3. Main dimensions of equipment

In order to determine the area of gas distribution plate by using the relation of ly = f (AR), the critical fluidization velocity should be calculated according to the average diameter of particles.  Flow dryer

The drying characteristics of the flow dryer are as follows

1) The treatment capacity is large. In the flow dryer, due to the full mixing of hot gas and solid particles, there are many opportunities for surface renewal, so the heat and mass transfer process is strengthened.

2) Generally, it can stay in the flow state for several hours. Therefore, it is suitable for materials that need to be dried for a long time or when the moisture content of dried products is very low.

3) The temperature distribution in the bed is uniform and can be adjusted at will. Therefore, the fluidization drying can obtain the drying product with uniform moisture content.

4) The fluidization drying can be operated continuously or intermittently.

5) The equipment has the advantages of simple structure, low cost and convenient maintenance.

6) The fluidization drying is not suitable for the materials which are easy to stick to the wall or agglomerate.

7) The material dried by fluidization has certain limitation in particle size. If it is too large, it is not easy to be fluidized, and if it is too small, it is easy to be carried away by airflow. The particle size is generally required to be 30um-30mm.

Classification of flow dryer:

There are many forms of fluid dryer, which can be divided into intermittent fluidized bed dryer and continuous fluidized bed dryer according to operation conditions; according to the structure, it can be divided into single-layer fluidized bed dryer, multilayer fluidized bed dryer, horizontal multi chamber fluidized bed dryer, vibrating fluidized bed dryer, centrifugal fluidized bed dryer, spouted bed dryer, inert particle fluidized bed dryer, etc.

The fluid dryer on the market is a kind of drying equipment with simple structure and less operating parts, but it is also a kind of equipment with poor working conditions (high temperature and dust) and high sealing degree and operation level.
